Answers

How far in advance should I contact you?
We only take on a limited number of weddings (approximately 25 – 30) per year to make sure we have the proper time to dedicate to your big day. The design process can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks, depending on the order, and the printing will take another 3-4 weeks upon final approval. Please contact us as soon as possible.

We have a budget, can you work within it?
Each couple has a unique story to tell. This requires a great amount of time and dedication. Additionally, we use high-end papers and printing methods to bring your details to life. With these factors in mind, custom design tends to cost more. We do offer a variety of levels and options for both stationery and details to try to accommodate your budget as much as we can. If you have an idea in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do you offer letterpress?
We do indeed. As old as the day is long, this method of printing uses large, hand-operated equipment to press your design into the paper, distributing the ink gently into the fibers. Letterpress requires time, expertise, and attention to detail — which is why we work with passionate, meticulous printers!

Do you offer options other than letterpress?
We do that as well. We know that every couple has a different budget, therefore we offer flat printing which can help you reduce costs while still providing a unique solution. Flat printing allows us to use more colours and print on both sides of the paper, giving you more options to choose from.

I see you do weddings, do you do other events?
We sure do! While at this point most our our event work has been for weddings, we’re quite experienced and welcome any events in need of a little design magic.

Do you work with international clients?
Yes indeed! Over the past 2 years we have worked with couples all across the United States, and as far away as London and Melbourne. Today’s technology makes it easy to get to know one another and stay in contact. We use Skype to meet face-to-face, and we are very diligent with our email, ensuring your project gets the attention it deserves.

What type of papers do you print on?
For letterpress, we use firm, fine Crane Lettra stocks which absorb ink extremely well enabling your design to truly pop. For flat printed options, we use Cougar Super Smooth, elevating the look and feel of your flat printed details. We are not limited to these options, however, and will source specialty paper on select requests.

Sold! Now where do I go from here?
Let’s start a dialogue! Please email us at hello@oneplusonedesign.com.

What is the process for custom design?
Fairly simple actually. Once you contact us with a few details, such as project parameters and a timeline, we’ll schedule a meeting (either face-to-face or via Skype) to get to know you better. We’ll discuss your project, pricing, and map out any deliverables that are needed. Once we come to agreement, we set out a timeline, and get to work!

How far in advance should I contact you about custom work?
This largely depends on your project, but it’s safe to assume that the larger the scope, the earlier you should contact us. We find it’s best to start a dialogue, set realistic expectations, and work towards a deadline.

I/we have a budget, can you work within it?
Custom work can require a a great amount of time and dedication, however we try our best to accommodate your budget whenever possible. We welcome all requests, and we’re always up for a discussion.

Do you work with international clients?
We are very excited to say yes! Today’s technology makes it easy to get to know one another and stay in contact. We use Skype to meet face-to-face, and we are very diligent with our email. What experience do you have?
We’re glad you asked. While our portfolio at One Plus One is modest (but growing), we have actually been doing this professionally for almost 9 years apiece. First working in medium-sized and reputable studios, and now in our 3rd year as a company, we’ve kept our hands busy working with clients both small and large. We’ve developed brand identities, logos, websites, blogs, stationery, campaigns, custom illustrations, packages and seemingly everything in between.

How long does it take for my order to ship?

Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely! Once you’ve selected the item(s) you wish to purchase, simply select your country and view the options available to you. We’ve tried to keep our shipping rates as affordable as possible.
